looking at the URL, http://www.soumaya.com.mx/, everything is “protected” via a flash application. i can”t tell if the images reside at this domain or elsewhere, so whitelisting this domain may not be helpful.
do they have an example of a few image URLs they wish to upload? that would help identify the domain that needs to be whitelisted.
- after a bit of further investigation, it looks like this web server may have been hacked: http://www.soumaya.com.mx/imagenes/2003/
- and the images in this directory are mostly low resolution/ low dimension http://www.soumaya.com.mx/imagenes/
- are there examples of higher resolution/higher dimension images that will be used during upload to commons?

FWIW, apparently they launched a new website and it does look substantially
different. but it's IIS :-((((
I'm here at the museum right now - and you're correct. They launched their new website last night as part of the Wikipedia Editathon event they're hosting.
Looks like they'll be providing us with TIFF files of collection images on a hard-disk for mass-uploading the traditional way. Oh well...
