Just for the record: templateused and templateused-preview are used in some cases:
- edit the whole page
- on preview (where someone added or removed templates)
- edit section preview (where just the templates from the section are shown)
- editing an old version (where the templates from the current page are listed)

I think we can live with such a simplification (or similar).

The 'templatesused' message does say 'Templates used on this page' from what I can see (it's customized on enwiki where it uses 'Pages transcluded...'). There are a bunch of other messages that use similar strings, but unless this is talking about one of those messages, I think there's nothing to fix.
