New search interface for link dialogue
Closed, ResolvedPublic40 Estimated Story Points

Description

As a new editor I want to see more information about pages so that I can choose the correct 1 to link to.

Problem: The existing search interface doesn't look like a list of articles on Wikipedia.
Based on usability testing, this is rated a 3 - Major usability problem: important to fix, so should be given high priority.

For the option to create a red link, we may consider a language more related to the user action. So instead of "Page does not exist yet", we can label that option as "Link as a missing page" or something along those lines.

Content Translation also need this component to enhance our link adaptation features, also for providing a better source article selector.

Is this currently planned as a reusable component so that other projects can use it? Is there any rough timeline for implementation?
