Lokal_Profil raised the priority of this task from to Needs Triage.
Lokal_Profil updated the task description. (Show Details)
Lokal_Profil added a project: Project-Admins.
Lokal_Profil changed Security from none to None.
Lokal_Profil added subscribers: Lokal_Profil, Qgil.
Lokal_Profil added subscribers: Ainali, Jopparn.

The project itself is uncontroversial and, in fact, I'm very happy to see that someone wants to work on it (although, what is the future of Mozilla's OpenBadges...? Anyway, I'm digressing).

Question to @Aklapper: are we keeping the default format #MediaWiki-extensions-OpenBadges ?

Qgil triaged this task as Medium priority.Dec 5 2014, 12:54 PM

I was thinking that #MediaWiki-extensions-OpenBadges is only part of the OpenBadges project which would possibly also include discussions on what types of badges/triggers fill the required pedagogical needs etc. (i.e. the non-technical aspects once there is a technical framework)

By default I would but I won't stop anybody from renaming as long as "#MediaWiki-extensions-OpenBadges" is kept as an alias to not break extension infobox links to Phabricator on mediawiki.org.

Qgil claimed this task.
Qgil added a project: OpenBadges.

Alright, OpenBadges created and MediaWiki-extensions-OpenBadges set as additional hashtag, considering that the current focus is wider than developing that extension or an alternative.

Please don't forget https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Phabricator/Creating_and_renaming_projects if you are planning to make any changes in the project.

Enjoy!
