Track per-file per-day view counts, much like it is done for pages by stats.grook.se . (This would include MediaViewer views, file page views, article thumbnail views, external sites hotlinking the image...) This would be very useful for editors working with GLAMs, and feedback for image authors.

The implementation could also be similar to stats.grok.se - aggregation of the varnish logs.
