Narrative
As a user, I can have a simpler version of Media Viewer without a metadata panel, so that I am not confused about where to find details -- now all on the File page.
Acceptance Criteria
- Remove themetadata panel below the fold, including these items:
- description (unless it is shown above the fold, in lieu of the caption)
- uploader name (unless it is shown above the fold, in lieu of the author)
- date created (or uploaded)
- location
- About Media Viewer
- Help
- Discussion
- Disable (after we move it above the fold)
- Chevron (up or down arrow)
- Panel Animation
- These items would still remain above the fold:
- caption (or description or file name)
- author (or uploader)
- source
- license
- 'More Details'
- Remove the chevron that points down, and the animation that invites to scroll to open the panel since they have no utility now.
- For images where the caption or the credit info is cropped, scrolling should expose the whole content in the same way that the current panel is expanding today. That is, the removal of the below the fold info should not impede the use of scrolling to view the full caption text.
- Do not remove this panel until these features have been built:
