thanks for the patch. I merged https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/169011/
and ran authdns-update on ns0.wikimedia.org
for others reading this: The language is Maithili, spoken in India and Nepal

surprisingly it doesn't appear to work yet. it looks to me like the new
language did not end up in the generated zone files yet, even though it was
added to the template. we gotta investigate what is missing

worked around the issue by touching the wikipedia.org zone for something else
so it got regenerated now, linked ticket is still there, but this is solved
now.
mai.wikipedia.org exists in DNS and the wiki can be installed
