Upgrade switch fabrics in cr2-codfw
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

We didn't have the newer switch fabrics for cr2-codfw before, but we do now. We should upgrade the existing fabric with the new cards.

It seems possible to upgrade the switch fabrics one by one, but by default it wouldn't work as it would report a mismatch and offline the RE. I recall there being a command to temp disable that, best check the upgrade notes.

This is now done.

We followed the process outlined by Juniper, Upgrading an MX480 SCB.

Unfortunately, this initially resulted into "FPC misconfigured" errors. It took us quite a bit to realize that we also needed to set chassis network-services enhanced-ip and reboot the REs for the new SCBs to work.
