[Task] Show human readable language names in edit summaries
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

The edit summaries for editing labels/description/aliases are inconsistent between items and properties: "‎Changed [fi] label" on properties and "‎Changed Finnish label" on items. We should standardize on the latter.

Make sure this is the same for adding, editing and removing.

Seems to be fixed. Should be "‎Changed [fi] label" now in both cases.

From a quick check on recent changes it is still different between adding/editing. Maybe also removing.

Wikibase itself does not transform language codes to names, this inconsistency is caused by local interface customisation (for instance here).

Is it possible to move this feature into Wikibase? Otherwise this consistency has to be maintained on Wikidata.
