Adds a more prominent display of entity URIs
Open, MediumPublic

Description

A lot of people use URLs like http://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q42 as URI of Wikidata entities instead of http://www.wikidata.org/entity/Q42 because they are used to Wikipedia articles URLs.

It would be nice to have a more prominent display of the entity URI (maybe close to the entity ID that is currently displayed near the label) than the small "Concept URI" displayed in the sidebar in order to decrease this phenomenon.

Just an idea: That could be a chance to fill the skin template native <h1 class="firstHeading"> tag with meaningful information.

A common solution for this is a tiny anchor/chain icon next to the headline with the "permalink" for the thing the headline describes. Additionally the headline itself is typically linked. When you click it, "nothing" happens (in this case the entity URI redirects back to the wiki URI).
