Describe better metrics on Content Translation analytics dashboard
Closed, ResolvedPublic1 Estimated Story Points

Description

The CX analytics dashboard currently contains a graph entitled as "content_translation_beta" without further description. It would help to have a more specific title (e.g., "Users enabling CX beta feature (including auto-enrolled users)") and a description of the metric.

  • At the dashboard **

I think it is especially important to indicate:

  • Whether the results represent the state (number of people for which the extension was enabled) or the action (number of users that enabled the feature in a specific day). I would expect the former.
  • Whether this includes users with beta-features auto-enroll or not (users with "enable all beta features").

It would be great to verify that the actual numbers are consistent with the information displayed in the beta feature panel.

At the analytics page
The analytics page should contain a clear description of all the metrics we are actually supporting in the project.

@Pginer-WMF: Dan and I revised the titles of the two graphs on the dashboard a few days ago and merged the changes but for some reason the dashboard does not seem to have updated. I will follow up with Dan today to see what is up.

The titles we are using are

CX Beta enablements

and

CX Beta manual enablements

Perhaps we should add the word "Total" to the beginning of each to show it is a state not an action?

Note that you cannot use parenthesis in the graph titles for some weird reason. That is why the current second graph does not work.

Do we want to update the titles on the dashboard? Or is what we have now ok? Changing the text for the tabs on the dashboard is a simple change, but we will need Dan to deploy the change after we make it.

How about:

  • Total CX beta feature enablements
  • Total CX manual beta feature enablements

There's not really a place to add a description to the dashboard, but I can add a description for each metric to the CX Analytics page and link to the dashboard.

The titles are much clearer now. Thanks.

Adding the description ( even if it is just one line) to CX Analytics page would be great.
