Replace Special Character '§' Designation Requirement for Sprint with Custom Field "Is Sprint"
Closed, ResolvedPublic6 Estimated Story Points

Description

The use of the special character designation to segment sprint and non-sprint projects is annoying. A suggestion has been made to implement a global project custom field boolean that designates whether a project is a sprint or not. This is a much cleaner method than a name substring query.

This will require updating documentation once available in production (should that be a separate task?).

(And I wonder in general what's the story when it comes to code review of changes that change dozens of lines, but that's more like one aspect of task 85123 I guess...)

Agree. Created a subtask for documentation.

I was thinking already that we have reached the place where we need to do this, and maybe making it more generic is the way to go. Project "Type" or "Category" using the built in custom field would be easier and cover all the bases?

@Christopher, any thought on this?
