Event Timeline
Thanks for raising this bug, @Shouston_WMF. The apparent reason seems to be that they share a common language code "SAH".
You can see that here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FDBQVWjxoapqGVdTlzsLHGyUTY04oiBCloGN7UNktt4/edit#gid=1844290077
A patch is on the way. :)
Change 186247 had a related patch set uploaded (by Niharika29):
Add Sakha to list of languages
@NiharikaKohli Thanks for putting this patch through. Looking at the "List of Wikipedias" tab in that google doc, it looks like the language code for Sanskrit is actually SA, rather than SAH.
@Shouston_WMF, Yeah. I put the patch in. Bryan will review and merge after all-hands, I think.
How did you realize this bug though? It was a hard one. Were there any complaints?
@NiharikaKohli Sounds great. We had an email come through the Wikimania scholarships email address from an applicant that contributed to Sakha, but couldn't find it in the drop down menu. We'll reach back out to them once the patch is through.
