Lessons learned from MediaWiki Developer Summit 2015
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

What have we learned that will help us organizing a better MediaWiki Developer Summit in 2016?

  • We spend too much time in presentation mode. Except for a couple of keynotes where the goal is to send one message to many, sessions should focus on discussion. Any presentation and background information can be posted days / weeks before, and we can request speakers and attendees to do their homework before attending the session. In fact, we could require background materials to sessions before allocating them in the schedule.

I felt we had some good discussions already, and hope to see more coming. :) But the start felt a little presentation-heavy yeah.
