We would like to count the number of pageviews that the tools we have get so as to quantify usage. There is a way to do it that should work for any tool/dashboard fronted by Apache.

These counts can be send to grphite on labs (there is a statsd host on labmon1001.eqiad.wmnet). There is a module (set up by andrew) called logster (os by etsy) that knows how to count pageviews by looking at the apache logs. Available on labs.
