page moves leave an un-undoable revision
Closed, DuplicatePublic

When moving a page, the page history shows a null edit with the move in the edit summary. This edit has an undo button. Pressing the undo button leads to a page that indicates the edit has already been undone. The arguably correct behaviour would be to replace the undo link with a new "undo move" link that leads to a pre-filled special:Move to move the page back. Among other options I can think of are

  • Don't display the undo link for these null edits
  • Display a different error message
