Description

  1. Go to https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Data_Mining_Algorithms_In_R
  2. Create a collection
  3. Go to https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Category:Data_Mining_Algorithms_In_R
  4. Add whole category to collection
  5. Show collection
  6. Add a title to the collection
  7. Click on "Download as PDF"

You'll get the following error:

"Generation of the document file has failed.
Status: ! LaTeX Error: Something's wrong--perhaps a missing \item.
Return to Special:Book"

This works for me now.

The original bug report was about now-dead functionality (PDF export of multiple books via Collection), so closing this ticket as obsolete.
