Description

This is the tracking task for the deployment of the OS and services of wtp2001-2020.

System Deployment Steps:

  • - system mgmt setup and tested
  • - system dns setup (both mgmt and production entries)
  • - network switch setup (port description & vlan)
  • - install-server module updated (dhcp and netboot/partitioning)
  • - install OS
  • - accept/sign puppet/salt keys

I'm not quite certain who will take care of the service implementation, or where this should be in regards to other wikis-in-codfw tasks. As such, I'm placing it up for grabs, and setting it to needing triage.

The wtp2* hosts have been installed with jessie, production is trusty, I'd stick to that honestly. So yes, this means we need to reinstall all of these machines with trusty.

added, and switched to using FQDNs in dsh group:
