I few comments on improvement for future tech talks:

• Put in a ticket ahead of time so IT can come be around in case anything goes wrong.
• Whenever possible (it not in this case) schedule the meeting room for the 30 min after the talk to go overtime or informally answer questions.
• Spend more time communicating with people from outside WMF on how the live google hangout will work and make sure they have a plan for their speaker notes.
• Verbalize a plan for the intro before the talk starts with the speaker. Don't just assume that they are prepared to introduce themselves.

@RobLa & @Jdouglas let me know if you have any other thoughts on improvement! This was my first tech talk in a few months so I was a little rusty, but all in all we had a lot of interested people, the speaker was great and the IRC discussion was also great.
