Description

Translate Extension is broken in Meta-Wiki

  1. With trying save new translation, returns error msg (ru):

    Сохранение перевода не удалось: Unknown error: "tpt-unknown-page"

This occurs for pages recently added into tran. system. As example, https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Manual_for_small_and_new_Wikipedias/ru

  1. Special:PageMigration for this page also don't worked (after pressing "save" button the system long thinks and does nothing.)

PS: Problem was went away after the second "dummy edit" of main translatable page and mark it for translation.

It is not really broken. This error happens when the job queue has not had time to rebuild a message index after page has been marked for translation.

WMF could possibly make that job a high priority job so that the time in between would be shorter.

Also, it is a known issue that the message index does not scale well, more information about that can be found in other bug reports and in my blog. I don't expect improvements in this area anytime soon.
