Description

1> Click to select "Autofill from URL" from the Cite Tools menu option.
2> Enter URL like "http://www.yahoo.com" or DOI like"10.1000/182".
3> Click to Insert.Note the dialog stays open and you see the notification saying "Status:error Error".

Also, XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://citoid.wmflabs.org/api?search=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yahoo.com&format=mediawiki. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org' is therefore not allowed access. The response had HTTP status code 502 appears in the console.

The labs version is down. Hopefully when this goes into production this won't happen as much :).

Mvolz renamed this task from Citoid:"502 Bad Gateway" status code, when trying to insert URL/DOI using "Autofill from URL" . to Citoid:"502 Bad Gateway" when listening to "localhost" interface on wmflabs..Mar 3 2015, 5:33 PM
Mvolz set Security to None.

FYI, was a localsettings.js issue: citoidInterface should be set to '0.0.0.0' on labs, not 'localhost'.
