{{Main}} template not appearing in mobile web
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

The {{main}} template appears correctly in articles when they are viewed in the Android app, but the template is not displayed when articles are viewed in mobile web. See for example the article "Police accountability" in English Wikipedia. This deprives our readers of valuable links to additional relevant Wikipedia content.

I have found additional templates missing from articles when viewed on Mobile Web, some of which are more significant than others. It appears that a decision was made to remove many, perhaps all, templates from being displayed inline. This should be reconsidered, since important content is being hidden from users on mobile web.

I am unable to reproduce this issue on either mobile web or the mobile apps.

This is a separate bug, now tracked at T94593.

I couldn't find a related app-specific bug report so I am posting this here (apologies if this exists elsewhere).

{{main}} templates appear to be stripped from the rendered HTML in the app. See these screenshots below taken from the iOS app (latest version) and the stable mobile site on Chrome / iOS (latest version). If confirmed, this is a major issue, preventing readers from finding the best contents associated with the section of an article they are currently reading.
