We use all kinds of nasty tricks to determine what is a major gifts contribution and what's an online contribution. IMO we need to straighten this out, so we know the difference between someone who donates $1000 online out of the blue (currently marked as a major gifts donor), and hundreds of K$ of matching gifts which would be counted as online donations if the value is below the threshold...

Plus, there are some extra workarounds I've heard of such as the "Restrictions - Foundation" label, which is possibly being used inappropriately.
