Description

In
https://www.mediawiki.org/w/api.php?action=help&modules=query%2Brecentchanges
we read

rcstart
The timestamp to start enumerating from.

rcend
The timestamp to end enumerating.

newer
List oldest first. Note: rcstart has to be before rcend.
older
List newest first (default). Note: rcstart has to be later than rcend.

From the last two lines we infer that we are talking about placement.

Please say

newer
List oldest first. Note: rcstart has to be placed before rcend.
older
List newest first (default). Note: rcstart has to be placed later than rcend.

Now there still is no documentation on if rcstart must be greater or
less than rcend, nor how they should be formatted, or what they should be separated with, etc. etc.

From the last two lines we infer that we are talking about placement.

No, start and end refer to timestamps and therefor the documentation is talking about time, not placement. The placement of paramters in the api does not care.

Maybe later and ealier should be used?
