Strange source code when trying to create a "red link" in the translated text
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When I select a word in the translated text, and then click a link in the source text, the word in the translated text becomes blue (becomes a link). But if there's no corresponding article in the target wiki, it still becomes blue, but after publishing, instead of the red links, I get something like this:

<a class="cx-target-link" rel="mw:WikiLink" data-linkid="54">Mariner 9</a>

And it's everywhere, where I performed the actions mentioned above. You can check this revision in ukwiki (my first article, created using CX).

After a bit more though, two points:

  1. Functionally, clicking a link that is not available in the target wiki is not supposed to just add a link in the target column. This is what T102605 is about, and in this regard, T102605 is a dupe of this bug.
  2. Technically, adding raw HTML like <a class="cx-target-link" rel="mw:WikiLink" data-linkid="54">Mariner 9</a> is really not supposed to happen, and I don't think it does any longer. @santhosh, can you imagine that this would still happen?
