labnodepool1001 setup tasks: labels/ports/racktables
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Chris,

Please apply the label labnodepool1001 to system WMF3095 and update this task with the port # (or just label the port and put it in the internal labs vlan.)

Please resolve when done, and I'll continue with the blocking task, thanks!

My mistake, this has to be in labs nodes vlan, so it needs to be in Row B and in the labs hosts vlan.

Chatted with chris via irc so he is aware of this.

port moved to row b ge-3/0/16 per chris's update via irc and set in labs-hosts vlan.

however, that isn't what its attempting to hit the dhcp server on

I can see the system hit dhcp on the analytics vlan, but I cannot find the mac address in the ethernet switching table for the mac address 84:2b:2b:fd:be:fd on the row b switch stack.

It seems odd to me, and it makes me think I'm missing it somehow.

Checking the port shows its down:
ge-3/0/16 up down labnodepool1001

The up is admin, the down is link; so this doesn't appear to be what it is plugged into.

@Cmjohnson: please advise which port system is on.

please update racktables, as it still shows in row c
