For a project I'm involved in, I'd like a host to run code that would provide insights into our network. This needs to be in production as those insights may need PII to get to. It also needs a public/routable IPv4/6
Instead of allocating a new server, I propose to repurpose "rhenium", the server we had assigned as the netflow/pmacct host. It's currently not doing much as the tool we needed was never written, is mostly idling, has some pretty buggy code atm (running pmacct hundreds of times until the machine swapdeaths; a very old version of pmacct too) and is running precise. pmacct may ultimately be useful for my project as well, so we might kill two birds with one stone.
I'll handle the reformat to jessie and the rest of the changes I need.
