mediawiki/vendor repo has no release branches like REL1_25. It probably should, and they probably should be branched automatically.

Possibly; I filed this because of a question on IRC (#mediawiki). It's not unreasonable to want to run a MediaWiki deployment entirely from Git rather than rely on Composer, and to also want to stick to release versions. Doesn't cost us to add the branches, does it?

Yeah, we advertise it as a way to install MediaWiki purely through git without composer, so it would be a good idea if there was a REL1_25 branch for it.
