As a maintainer of many edit filters which change from time to time, I want to be able to discuss changes for a filter in a page which is associated to that filter, so that other users can understand why a filter is configured as it is and watch any proposed enhancement.

Currently, not only we miss the functionality for watching a filter (T62588), but we also have no associated Talk namespace for discussing about filters. On Portuguese Wikipedia, we implemented subpages of "Wikipédia:Filtro de edições/" as a workaround, linking to these pages from [[MediaWiki:Abusefilter-edit-rules]] message. Maybe a proper implementation for this depends on T487: RfC: Associated namespaces.
