Consider adding a "file bug" button to citoid
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

I've tested many of the most-cited websites in citoid, and results are generally positive but still have a lot of issues. (My very limited testing has led to nine open bugs; see also ) Given the vast different # of sites that could be fed into citoid, I suspect that there will be a long tail of sites that have bugs.

Given that, I'd suggest making it easy for power users (maybe autoconfirmed?) to submit bug reports about sites that don't work well - it could automatically pull the URL and citoid-generated cite, and give people a chance to explain which fields they thought were bad/incorrect/incomplete/etc.

Given that most of these are going to be duplicates, bad zotero
translators, type mismatches, or fuzzy ( or non existent reading of ) page
metadata, I don't think it's something I personally can support at this
stage. I am planning to scrape more metadata but haven't had time to do it,
not really sure what to do about type mismatches yet, and the Zotero
translators repo is already full of issues and they're struggling to keep
up over there and I don't (yet?) have the time to help them. If we had more
people contributing, maybe...

@Mvolz: I don't see how this task is stalled (waiting for further input) currently. Either decline this task if you think it's a bad idea or change its priority to lowest and status to open?
