Multiple problems on translated content
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

The creation of article Art de mésopotamie on frwiki shows multiple problems :

  • Template call prefixed with "Modèle:" (name of Template namespace on frwiki) : useless
  • <br> tags at the end of the 2 last titles making them incorrect
  • extra useless span tags in titles : <span class="cx-segment" data-segmentid="103"></span>
  • internal links with only a <nowiki> tag in displayed text : [[Babylone]][[Babylone (royaume)|<nowiki/>]] or [[Obélisque noir]][[Obélisque noir|<nowiki/>]]

Please fix these problems quickly as they are repeatedly creating damaged articles on production wikis.

Other minor remarks for readability issues of the result :

  • Write titles with whitespace around : == Title == and not ==Title==

@NicoV, thanks for testing and reporting.

In the future, please open a separate Phabricator task for each issue.

I split this one to four tasks:

  • "Template call prefixed with "Modèle:" (name of Template namespace on frwiki) : useless": opened a separate bug: T98018.
  • "<br> tags at the end of the 2 last titles making them incorrect": Can you please clarify? What do you mean by "2 last titles"?
  • extra useless span tags in titles : <span class="cx-segment" data-segmentid="103"></span>: It's probably T90724.
  • "internal links with only a <nowiki> tag in displayed text : [[Babylone]][[Babylone (royaume)|<nowiki/>]] or [[Obélisque noir]][[Obélisque noir|<nowiki/>]]": opened a separate bug: T98021
Amire80 claimed this task.

Marking resolved, will handle each task separately.

@Amire80, for the <br> tags, I mean what is almost at the end of the article, meaning malformed titles with a <br> tag in them

==Références<br>

==A lire également<br>

@Amire80

And for the fact that I created only one task, it's because of what I highlighted in my first comment: "they are repeatedly creating damaged articles on production wikis". I'm a volunteer on Wikipedia and I want to be productive on Wikipedia, and not spending my time in creating phabricator tasks.

It took more than 2 weeks for a bug that is damaging articles on production wiki to be just noticed, what's the point for me in creating several tasks that will have even less chance to be noticed ?

Marking as invalid, instead of 'resoved', since the problem mentioned aren't resolved and this is more right.
