@Jdlrobson, Honestly it seems wrong to add a gather specific message to WikimediaMessages.
It looks like the only extension which has added anything here is Flow. Also I'm not entirely sure where it would go,
i18n/wikimedia or i18n/wikimediaoverrides

As discussed in the standup today. Creating the page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Gather-lists-hide-protocol should be sufficient for this as I don't think we should pollute the WikimediaMessages extension with a default message.

@JonKatz, @Jdlrobson, only administrators on en.wiki can do this. Looks like it has already been created on beta labs: http://en.m.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Gather-lists-hide-protocol

Once it is created on both beta labs and en.wiki this can be signed off.

@JKatzWMF @Moushira when we launch to other projects how do we expect this to happen - is it okay to let the community set this message and default to 0 or would it be good to setup a link to a blank wiki page so they can fill the content?

• Add a default that links to a red link where they can define the policy using text""Before hiding or un-hiding a list, please refer to the [[Project:Gather/Moderation_Criteria|beta protocol] for Gather collections moderation"" might be a good idea but this will red link until some action is taken.
