This is still in progress. We are working toward using banners and mass messages, getting the database defined, set up and working.

Fundraising has a list of ~50,000 donors who have indicated that they are interested in learning how to edit. Perhaps it's kosher to reach out to them about participating in design research on editing tools? This was suggested recently by @Elitre a couple weeks ago on a CE thread. Ping @LuisV_WMF
