Description

As part of T97611, we would like to request the removal/permanent archiving of the legacy wmfresearch list. (1)

This private list has been deprecated a long time ago and it's just creating confusion at the moment.

I've removed the mailing list entirely with the directions listed on https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Lists.wikimedia.org#Remove_a_mailing_list. However, as the requestor didn't state to delete, but archive the list messages, I left those in place on sodium. Since they are private archives, and the list doesn't exist to allow login anymore, they are no longer available online without ops/mailman admin intervention. (This is my understanding, but if I am wrong, someone please correct me!@)

@RobH, works for me, there was nothing important in that list that would need people to access the archives.
