Changing User preferences does not get reflected in "Thanked"(French)
Closed, InvalidPublic

This issue was found when verifying T96527 "A13. <*-thanked> in French requires the gender of the thanked user"

When I change the User Preference "How do you prefer to be described?", my new preference does not get reflected when I am thanked.

  1. Check what preferences a user has for "How do you prefer to be described? For example, it is checked as " (I prefer not to say)".
  2. Verify that a user is thanked with “Remercié” in French(gender neutral form).
  3. Change the preference to "He edits wiki pages".
  4. Re-login to a Talk page - try to thank that user - “Remercié” will be displayed again.

Expected: After re-login, a new user preference should be reflected in Thanked as “Remerciée”(masculine form).
