I have the same issue with Mozilla Firefox 102.0 (on Ubuntu 20.04.4).
If I log in in https://it.wikipedia.org/ and then navigate to https://commons.wikimedia.org/ I must to fill the login form to enter with my account.
However the global login works with different language editions of Wikipedia (de.wikipedia, en.wikipedia for example).

The design pattern used is Module Pattern (details). This design pattern is already adopted by MediaWiki JS library (example mw.Api).

Refactoring function:

• createPrimarySourcesRandomMenuItem()
  • create and append an element to list in left menu
  • API call when the user click on it

Primary sources tool uplift proposal

A possible solution might be to create a Wikibase extension which uses jQuery.wikibase to manipulate the UI of wikidata item.

As MediaWiki we could use JSDuck.

The naming convention of CSS classes in HTML snippets of Wikibase are related to Wikibase Data Model:
Wikibase/DataModel/JSON#Snaks (here there is jQuery.wikibase code Wikibase View Documentation).

Wikibase is formed by three extensions: Wikibase Repository (repo), Wikibase Client (client) e WikibaseLib (lib).

I didn't want to hard code the port in Vagrant file, so I followed the doc adding auto_correct: true.

@Lydia_Pintscher When input search field gains focus (clicking on it) the CapsuleMultiselectWidget shows a list (in this case the data sets). You can find a preview here.

Wikibase is formed by componets (link). We can move "primary sources tool" to Wikibase as a community tool.
