Robert-RtC3V added a comment to T119702: API returns error messages in place destined for end user.

While this has not been fixed, is there any workaround? Getting HTML instead of plain text, i.e. removing the explaintext=1 parameter (https://de.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&format=json&prop=coordinates|pageimages|extracts&colimit=10&pithumbsize=100&pilimit=1&exintro=1&exlimit=1&pageids=5780474), does not help.
It results in

[...]"extract": "<p><span>Vorlage:Infobox Hochschule/Logo fehlt</span><span>Vorlage:Infobox Hochschule/Mitarbeiter fehlt</span></p>\n\n\n[...]

Robert-RtC3V added a comment to T122295: parsing {{coord}} is more forgiving in wikipedia than in wikidata, resulting in wrong coordinates in wikidata.

Perhaps malformed coordinates should not be imported into wikidata? :-)
I'm not sure where it should be fixed (in addition to the broken bot you discovered), I just noticed the wrong coordinate in wikidata and the difference in interpretation in wikipedia vs. wikidata.
Please feel free to find the best solution and reassign appropriately.
My thoughts were:

  • Don't interpret malformed coordinates in neither wikipedia nor wikidata.
  • Parse them in the same fashion at both places.
  • Don't let anybody save pages having malformed coordinates in the templates
