I've done a lot of work with this. I've even done rudimentary swarm deployments and some work with restbase:

So for nginx I had _ as my host. This allows (as does any other invalid symbol) the host to set the headers for the site. I'm still not sure why parsoid was sending the wrong headers. I guess it's what I set uri to so it's sending what I told it, but there should be an agnostic way to control headers. If I come in on domain x I would hope it keeps those headers for the length of the request.

So I went so far as to add in rest base with a cassandra backend, and the issue is the same. I mistyped in that it returns it's uri, not domain. I made the domain arbitrary and still saw the issue. I still don't get why this happens just on my private wiki. If there's no security, it works fine. I can't touch any of the html rendering in the VE with hooks so far as I can tell.

That's all I needed was to know I was doing something wrong. I had pulled the extension from git vs it's release and that seemed to cause issues. You guys are awesome, sorry to bother you.

Just to take it a step closer to a bug report more than it being a question:

You guys are right. I did the syntax tags in the regular editor and got the descriptive: "Exception encountered, of type "Error"" even with php debug and display errors on. After some additional reading it seems that you have to not only composer install in the base dir of mediawiki, but also in the highlighter at the very least. This resolved my error. Thank you guys.

Just wondering if there is any traction on this? I hope this question doesn't come across as overbearing. Idk if the code block thing is experimental and not even function or whether this sort of report is even welcome. I know it's all docker, but both node and php were built from the latest source images. I had tried the latest stable node release, but got the same error. If there are any questions for me, please let me know.
