The usual format for French is Discussion $base. On frwiktionary the base default/extension namespaces are lowercase-first (unless NS is a proper noun), but custom ones are uppercase-first (which I find a bit weird). Hence consistency would dictates Discussion Rime in this case.

I think steps 3..5 would be better as:

Having no space displayed as fallback is not necessarily worse than having a full space for everybody, as many French-speaking people do not add the space before these punctuation marks (e.g. people from Quebec; actually I often find articles of the French Wikipedia having missing spaces in these places).

Such a behavior is acceptable on mobile due to the lack of space, but
really annoying on desktop…

@Jdforrester-WMF I have been working on a Confluence wiki with (server-side) auto-save for several months and they have something your current proposal do not include: being able to see a diff before choosing. It is really useful, because I often do not remember what I was doing exactly when I closed the editing page 2 or 3 days before editing again.

@ori Indeed. In my defense, “Moriel” is closer to men names in French (in the written form).

@Dvorapa I have never understood why the TemplateData edit tool is not in the standard toolbox(es). Maybe @Mooeypoo remembers why he implemented it this way?
