I'm not sure how to incorporate custom W template into the suggestion. Perhaps list it under 'Wikipedia - English (custom)' but that would be confusing. :-(
Hi Krenair. This is nice, but it would be nice to have autocomplete too for people who do not yet know the page name.

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=828381447&oldid=828377910&type=revision&diffmode=source has some possibly relevant JavaScript codes. It seems like the consensus has not been established at enwiki, there are many solutions being discussed in a chaotic fashion.
What wiki page will it link to? It reads like there is a patch to merge, but I'm not seeing it here or on the other ticket.
Added questions and codes on-wiki.
Hi again Keegan.

Using Extension:Drafts is indeed similar, but there is one difference: saving a draft perhaps does not allow me to test how the current version of the code runs. Hence the "and checking how they run" remark in the original submission. That's the use-case it is intended to address -- someone is developing a JavaScript gadget or user script on-wiki by making incremental changes to it and testing its behaviour on another page.

I would like to have a text box. Show it to users at random, so that the volume of the received feedback is manageable.
A person may want to use OOjs or a gadget at their personal wiki or website. We need to show this person what modules each gadget needs, similarly to how a Linux distribution package manager lists dependencies for each package. It makes it easier for people to choose what software to use.

@Aklapper People would find it easier to choose what software to use. This could include usage at their own MediaWiki instance as well as at their personal web site where they would like to reuse OOjs code for their own scripts.

What types of feedback are you thinking that visitors would want to put into the text box?

How many project X bugs need to exist before we make a new tag? For example at wiki a category is created if there is at least 5 pages for it. What are the criteria here? Please help me by walking me through the process instead of saying 'there is no reason to'. Thanks.

some extension bugs, while extension is installed everywhere, are project specific

I believe that we can ask at different projects what they want the interface to be and how they are using the links. We would get stories from these projects about what links they insert, where, and how, and what user interface they would like.

All development work on AbuseFilter v.5 (and indeed, previous versions) is halted. The project is archived, so having open tasks is inappropriate. Consequently, I'm closing all tasks.

... by default this output is wrapped in an HTML comment. This can be changed on a per-wiki basis by editing a MediaWiki message wiki page.
VisualEditor having preload support for page creation would be nice. Preload is used in article wizards (e.g. en-wp, ru-wp).

I appreciate this discussion happening. It is strange that we are thinking that draggable dialogs create problems, so I will attempt to illustrate it with a use-case. I am trying to write a user script in oojs-ui, and the script work should be similar to the old gadget whose dialog is draggable to expose different parts of the article text in order to perform its assessment.

Tag Wikinews bug reports with a Wikinews tag and prioritize them accordingly. I am sure such bug reports would help you develop your program in a flexible way so that deploying it to other wikis is easier in the long-term.

Loading a random existing article has some challenges when trying to present it side-by-side with a source article, especially if it was not created as a translation of it (i.e., how to figure out which paragraph corresponds to each one where the paragraph structure can be completely different).

FYI this task, which is a duplicate, shows an important use-case, which makes this a bug, not an enhancement request.
