Thank you so much, @cmadeo. I have turned the elements into components and will make an updated submission now.

If you submitted a task this week I am hoping to get feedback back to you by the end of next week.
I'm sorry about that! I hope the baby is all better now and that you've had time to recharge.
I haven't received feedback either, and I submitted it on the 3rd.
Also, are you open to giving feedback on the timeline we will submit to Outreachy?
Thank you!

Hi @Udoka_Marymagdalene_Ineh, your child ticket is submitted correctly. There is no need to do additional components at this time, but if you would like to, please add them to your child ticket.

This is a quick check in to other contributors, have any of you received feedback yet? I have submitted with a sub task on Oct 9th but have not heard back yet and I just wanted to check if there's something more to be done.
Thanks! Hope your day is going well.
you are right, thats why its good to actually learn the skill instead of just learning the tool, so it can be pretty easy to work with other design tools. Also Penpot did a pretty good job though.

I've beenplaying around with penpot and discovered some pretty cool shortcuts that have really sped up my design process. I thought it’d be helpful to share a few today to help you boost your workflow too! Luckily, most of the Penpot shortcuts are the same as Figma’s. For example:
- Text: T
- Rectangle: R
- Grid Layout (like Auto Layout in Figma): Ctrl + Shift + A
- Color picker: I
- Move: V
- Zoom to selected: Shift + 2
And so many others!
But here are some new gems I just learned:
Sure! Here’s the reformatted list:
- Create new project: +
- Create new file (inside project): +
- Distribute horizontally: Ctrl + Shift + Alt + H
- Distribute vertically: Ctrl + Shift + Alt + V
- Clear undo: Ctrl + Q (Super helpful!)
- Show/hide grid: Ctrl + '
- Mask: Ctrl + M
- Unmask: Ctrl + Shift + M
- Assets: Alt + I
- Draw Path: P
- Boolean difference: Ctrl + Alt + D
- Boolean exclude: Ctrl + Alt + E
- Boolean intersection: Ctrl + Alt + I
- Boolean union: Ctrl + Alt + U
You can check out the full list of shortcuts here and try them out. Let me know if you have a favorite shortcut I missed! :)

yeah true @Mariam, It just dawned on me now. Its there in the instruction to remove the tag when creating our child ticket, guess you didn't remove it, so Aklapper removed it for you.

I’m looking for guidance on how to upload a Penpot file in the "Record Contribution" section on Outreachy. I tried adding links to my documentation and tutorial using Google Docs, but I’m having trouble attaching the Penpot file itself to the Google Doc file too
Has anyone encountered this issue or found a solution for uploading your work on the Outrechy site?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello @SylvssO I guess you should ask the mentors.

I didn’t expect to feel like a mini content creator after this microtask! 😂 The biggest challenge was putting together the video tutorial—editing different parts of my process, adding and removing voice-overs—it was definitely a struggle. And just when I was ready to upload, YouTube threw in an extra hurdle with its verification process, which wasn't working and causing frustrations.
Quick question: apart from submitting a sub-ticket here, do we also need to record this microtask on the Outreachy website? And beyond the InfoChip component, should we recreate other components too?
Also, If you're struggling with anything, feel free to reach out
In T374275#10217284, @FatumaA-HijabiCoder wrote:Hi all,
I believe the task should come as close as possible to the original Figma design; it should be ok if it's not 100%. The differences between Penpot and Figma will make it quite hard to get an exact match.@Udoka_Marymagdalene_Ineh, I think we are to wait for feedback and work on it unless the mentors say otherwise.
For anyone struggling with Penpot, their Youtube channel is a great resource, along with the docs linked in the micro-task. In particular, search for the videos that explain Flex and Grid. For extra context, they correspond and behave like CSS Grid and Flex.
Also, I have a question, If I complete other components from Figma, how do I submit them?, Do I also create a child ticket for every component I design on penpot and submit them individually?
Hello good morning @cmadeo @mwilliams, I submitted my micro-task for a review. Kindly help me confirm its linked properly as a child ticket.

Hello everyone, I already started working on this project, but I wanted to still introduce myself although I already introduced myself in the other wikipedia projects.
