The Basque Wikimedians User Group has decided that we need to translate into Basque all the documents listed in the first message of this page, including the text that appears bellow the paragraph on a light red background, that says: "The sections below may be changed significantly in the coming weeks, or are too technical or less relevant for the understanding of the project. We have decided not to have them translated."
Regardless of that warning, we consider that it is valuable to have translated into Basque the part bellow the paragraph.
That paragraph appears in these three documents:
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Growth/Personalized_first_day/eu
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Growth/Understanding_first_day/eu
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Growth/Focus_on_help_desk/euNow, we have all those three documents part in English, part in Basque, as we cannot translate the last part of each of them into Basque. Could you help us?
It is a bit complicated.
At the moment, as you noticed, the page is half marked for translations. The second half is less relevant for general information. We could have open the entire page for translation, but some updates are posted there time to time. Mark the page for translation would require to spend time watching new activity there.
Your crew is motivated to translate entire pages and it is great! However, some communities may not have the same workforce than yours, and feel a bit discouraged, even if there is a warning saying "The sections below may be changed significantly in the coming weeks, or are too technical or less relevant for the understanding of the project. The following sections don't need to be translated."
We are also using the translation system to check on the level of completion for those translation for the languages we work with closely: have the translations done à 100% is visible now: mark the rest of the mage would make it less easier to check.
So I would personally prefer not to change the current system. But if you really think you're missing something valuable in those pages, please add the translation markup (I don't have time to do it myself at the moment), make the change in the warning message and let's go. :)

Hi @MMiller_WMF I am translating this project to Basque, and we are interested in continuing the translation down below the message, this is the link. Could you prepare this for translation? I could not edit it. Thanks

Now that is ambitious, Theklan! One more suggestion for an easier article search, either in EU WP or all projects, could be to 1. intelligent search by avoidance of spelling confusion (diacritics, capital letters, etc.), or/and 2. search returns by just adding the first letters of the words contained in the article's name, e.g. Sphinx water erosion hypothesis, result delivered by inserting letters or swehyp (six letters).

@matmarex I guess you are dealing with the matter. I bring the comment over from the other thread opened for the issues found in the Basque wikipedia.

@matmarex I guess you are dealing with the matter. For another clue, regardless of nowiki codes, I opened now the article Foruen amaiera Hego Euskal Herrian by clicking on "aldatu" (Visual Editor), and after loading it adds a parasitic blank line below the first paragraph in the article. Thanks
May 7 2019
The only thing intentional is the case suffix added. Then, after publishing the changes, the <nowiki/> code appears, I have written no code if I understand you right.
From my little knowledge on coding, from experience I can say that I often see ghostly <nowiki/> codes appearing next to links.

Hi @matmarex, yes, the article has changed, and I cannot reproduce it now. The bug was consistent enough, but now it did not work, it does not show. It has happened in other articles I am working now, like here, but it is erratic, and I cannot reproduce it right now. Will try again at night, and fingers crossed I will be able to do it. Thanks

@Deskana I went through this issue with my username in different web browsers (Firefox and Chrome). Also I tried it (and double-checked it right now) with different accounts, and the issue remains there. A student in a university building (operating system Windows Microsoft) also drew my attention to this dysfunctional behaviour in the Visual Editor. The sample is wide enough to think it is not related to a specific place or account, as far as I see it.

Bai, arazoak izaten dira. Beno, egiten da egin ahal dena, eta gero gerokoak. Aurrekoan esaten zuen @Gorkaazk -ek beste mezu batean, agian errazena izango zela pop kulturaren inguruan aritzea, bestelako gauzetan sartu baino. @Inaki-LL - About localized image/video situation is sad. Currently you may create localized versions with language suffixes and check substitution on Meta only. No simple way for view this in the Dashboard. We wait some solution from @Ragesoss about this issue (see my questions above and comment in the T182092).

This is part of https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Template:Training_module_quiz, this caption was not included in the translation, since it is not supported by the Dashboard. I corrected the template and will include this title (it's just that everything looked beautiful on Meta). @Inaki-LL, my explanation about substituting localized images related only to the wiki, but not to the dashboard. I'm sorry! Currently to the Dashboard transferred image url from "source" field in the template {{Training module image}}:

This link (to .webm version) was provided in meta-page - see https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Training_modules/dashboard/slides/10818-video-talk-pages and click "Enlarge" button:
Since you told me to add spacing before the language code, that is what I did, but then you have added that it should be a dash. Still it does not allow me to change the name in Commons, because it assimilates dash to space, see / try here.

- Your llocalized illustraton should be uploaded into Commons and named as "File:VisualEditor_read_edit_source_edit_view_history_eu.png" (your langcode after space)
Then localized file will be substituted in the translated slide automatically, by langcode mathing. This is magic ;)
Also there is additional category for your localized scrennshots of VisualEditor - Category:VisualEditor-eu

@Base, @Whatamidoing-WMF, @Kaganer, with reference to this, I have this variant: if I leave "$edit-source" it seems that a translation applies next to it for the purposes of identification in the target language interface and translation, I think something like "[$edit-source Translation]" applies (in my case "[$edit-source Editatu iturburu kodea]"), since the text needs a translation anyway, is that right? (Something like [$link sandbox] > [$link пісочниця] explained above) Thank you
Itxura ona!

Thank you Base. So in "Now it's time to get started editing! You can navigate to your own [$link sandbox] page in another browser window to try it out for yourself.", I understand I should leave the word "sandbox" w/o translation, right? Another similar example for the phrase "edit-source": "Here's some basic Wikicode to format your text on Talk pages or the "$edit-source" option on articles."
