It has also been suggested that the messages should be configurable for users of different experience levels. (an editor that is newly autoconfirmed should receive a different message than an autopatrolled user).

I'd be happy just forking the code from User:Evad37/MoveToDraft and adding a button to the Page Curation tools for it. Please DO NOT make the default message hardcoded somehow (there is another Phab ticket asking to make other messages non-hardcoded (https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T204464).

This seems largely resolved: We have a [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&type=pagetriage-curation&user=Insertcleverphrasehere page curation log], and a [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Log?type=patrol&user=Insertcleverphrasehere&page=&wpdate=&tagfilter= patrol log] which can both be specified by user. Links at [[Wikipedia:Database reports/Top new article reviewers]] lead to both for pretty much everyone, so it is pretty easy to patrol the patrollers from there.
Either A): a jump to date button, or B) a calendar selection tool.
This was completed as part of the ORES classification added recently to the New Page Feed and can be closed.

Still a problem... to the point that it is never advisable to use Page curation to nominate for AfD. Pretty sure most patrollers use Twinkle instead after they realise this bug exists.

I can't stress enough that this is an issue that needs fixing. Being able to filter only redirects is functionality that we should have. Same for 'nominated for deletion'.
