If you turn off "Enable responsive mode" in your Special:Preferences, does the text size look the same? (for me it's 13px for the edit window, and 14px for the realtime preview)

@TheresNoTime Since you stated that there might be a relation between this issue and T321728, I just wanted to inform you that I just noticed that I am experiencing the same problem as reported in the below quote. However, I am still not experiencing an increased font size in the "old school" preview which is the main issue at that page.

InsaneHacker added a comment to T228138: Inconsistent enforcement of HTTPS in discuss-space.wmflabs.org.
I've been able to replicate this reliably more than 3 times now: When I access the discussion board directly via the URL discuss-space.wmflabs.org, I get an unsecure HTTP connection and most the page contents don't show up. If I go to the front page, space.wmflabs.org, and then click on the Discuss-link, I get an HTTPS connection.

I'm not sure this is related to the same problem, but doing a forced reload (Ctrl + F5) solves it as well, so it might be: From time to time, Space won't display newer posts until I do a forced reload. This has occurred multiple times, even after deleting my browser cookies for both space.wmflabs.org and discuss-space.wmflabs.org
I get the same error as @Quiddity from time to time. Like they say, a hard refresh fixes it temporarily, but it pops back up again some time later. Deleting cookies doesn't seem to do much for me.
