Wouldn’t it be better to actually embed the formulae in MathML by default instead of an un-copyable svg with other text so when people are copying a text with some formula inside of it when they bring it elsewhere in rich text fields they actually get the information with them when trying to communicating with each other?

Over at svwp I hacked a intermediate solution before this is solved in a template for lakes in Sweden to display the maplink map if there is OSM data available through wikidata(P10689 and P402 property) but using the coordinate as a fallback would be a great to not show empty maplink frames! : Changeset for that template with hacky use of #if
