It is clearly not resolved. For example, https://stats.wikilovesmonuments.org is still online, despite having an error message saying it uses a Piwik version from 2012 !

In case anyone is wondering, a work-around is to put the query on a wiki page and use a short URL for that page; like this:

I had no time to work on this since Barcelona, but basically:
- right now, none of the people interested in participating is this has spoken in favor of gerrit. if there is no intersection between "users who want to write centralized gadgets" and "users willing to use gerrit", there is no point on doing this there.
- if hosting it on the Cloud Services makes it harder to do it (because of the terms of use or anything else), then it is probably better to host it on another platform.

While this ticket is reopened, I might as well update: it turns out that the IP has been on these blacklists since 2012, years before it was ours. I cannot remove it from all the lists because they are for IPs of email servers and it is not an one (so I cannot do the required DNS changes...)

I will investigate on why we are blocked, and we will use our smartphones to register in the meantime.

One coworker tried to the glam list and had the same issue (Firefox 60 too). Another coworker spoke about the issue to @Sadads who says he can subscribe with no problem.

I put here the pros and cons as discussed during the meetup (thanks @Trizek-WMF ):

- Tested lists: wikimedia-l, wikimediafr and wlm-announce.
- This was tested with Firefox 60 on Ubuntu 17.10 (on two computers), but I don't see how it is relevant for a server-side error. I tested again with Chromium 66, same error.

To be honest I though this old repository was archived yet, @Sylvain_WMFr could you do it ?

Résumé de la visite :
Les deux personnes rencontrées sont très enthousiastes et sont prêtes à s'impliquer dans l'organisation, y compris potentiellement en trouvant des intervenants et des financements. On a évoqué Tim Berners-Lee.

I can also make a lightning talk on Wikidata/SPARQL if no one more legitimate (from WMDE's Wikidata dev team) wants to make one.
Nah you're doing this well in your blog. Go ahead and submit something if you want :) I can join if you want.

I'm not sure I can give you a solid number there : I don't have real info on that... But if I remove the people from WMF and WMDE (i'll guess all of them are staff and the people having put other chapters as their organization are volunteers), I got 38 names.

In T88524#1089866, @Qgil wrote:The forms looks almost good! Thank you for taking all the feedback. The only think I would still improve is the description of the accommodation. Proposal:
The prices include four nights (check in 22 April, check out 26 April) and catering during the event.
- Single room: a room with one bed.
- Twin room: one bed in a room shared with two beds.
- Dormitory: one bed in a room with three to five beds.
- Double room: a room with a bed for two persons (the price covers the two persons)
Please leave roommate names or other preferences in the Comments field at the end of this form.
I think it is better to have all the feedback in the same form, as opposed to having to match form entries with emails.

In T88524#1081279, @Qgil wrote:Thank Sylvain. Adding to Rachel's feedback...
The images are not working for me either.
Sometimes the explanation of a form is above the field, sometimes below... It would be better to have them always in the same position (below is better, I think).
The main URL of the event to be publicised everywhere is https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Lyon_Hackathon_2015. People landing in the form are supposed to have gone through that wiki page. I would remove all the intro in the form, since it is a duplication of the wiki page, Instead, I would have a single sentence in the intro pointing to that wiki page for more information.
As others have commented, the accommodation part still needs some work:
In T88524#1027253, @Qgil wrote:
- Do you really want to handle all these accommodation bookings and payments? Wouldn't it be simpler to ask people to take care of their accommodation directly with http://www.valpre.com/ ? Many events do this, giving you some code to use as event participant. I fear WMFR getting extra work with booking changes, cancellations...
- If you really want to do this yourselves, you should offer a form like hotels have, allowing flexibility on the dates of check-in/check-out. Not everybody will come and leave on the same days.
- You should specify the default arrival/departure and price per night for all the options. Now it is not clear what are you paying.
"Double room (already paid)" is unclear. Wouldn't it be better to have simply "No, thanks"? Local participants will not need accommodations, a % of visitors will make their own arrangements, and the WMF bunch will be pre-booked through another process, landing in double or individual rooms.
Done.
In T88524#1080534, @Rfarrand wrote:Thanks for putting that up! The photo links are not working for me - I am not sure if they are broken or if it is my computers fault.
In the intro you say: "The Hackathon uses an unconference format, with heavy focus on coding sessions and technical discussion, with small workshops." Except, this year we are planning to do more pre planning and structure than in the past. You could say "it uses a combination of an unconference format and pre planned topics and sessions." or something like that.
"along with experimented volunteer developpers. " should be "along with experienced volunteer developers."
I replaced all the page by a link to the hackathon page on Mediawiki.org, as suggested by @Qgil.
The accomodation is total, from the 22 to the 26, and also includes the catering. The registration in itself is free.

OK, it seems great. What would be the prizes? Barnstars or things with real monetary value? Who will decide who receives these prizes?

It's good for me too (except that my first name is Sylvain and not Sylvan ;))
Hi, I'm not sure how to understand Lila's message : if the goal is to encourage participation through a bit of gamification (set short terms goals that can be accomplished in a week-end through a demo/prototype), I'm all for it.
