@ifried, does this still need any design work?

@MusikAnimal, I didn't know about preload parameters, yeah that is exactly the kind of thing I was hoping for.

Thanks for all this information, @MusikAnimal 🤩

I don't really need this any more, so no need to help me debug 😊
Happy to provide more info if you'd like though.
Yup, the .env file is correct, and I am not trying to log in. When I try to navigate to - http://localhost:8042/File:Speech_bubbles.svg I get an error. Here is the stack trace:

This should get deployed automatically in a while. Thanks for spotting and closing the issue, @Ammarpad 😊

Disable clicking anywhere on the page while content loads from the WhoColor API

It looks like maybe the wiki container isn't set up properly. Can you view the wiki at http://localhost:8043/, edit pages and upload files?

I agree the link icon would be misleading, and so would linkExternal. @Esanders, is it going to link to the template’s documentation? If so, then yeah, the helpNotice makes sense here.
Good idea @Mooeypoo! I've updated the screenshots above.
You do have a local wiki! :-) It's the 3rd docker image; try http://localhost:8043/
Thanks @Samwilson, that worked. Also, is there a workaround for the WIKI_URL if I don't have a local wiki?
This seems almost fixed now. The starting of the leaflet box and the input are off just by a pixel.
I see now, thanks @TheDJ! The ratio of the screenshot threw me off and I assumed it was a mobile.

Wow, strototime is quite versatile. Could we add a placeholder text there with a few examples — 1 week or 10 August 2019
We sure can. But I would rather get rid of it. Since strototime() is English-only, the placeholder text would also have to be English-only.. See: T190449
I took @Samwilson's help to understand this navigation a bit better. I now understand that the icon currently represents two states:
The maximum character limit for edit summaries is 500 characters, I think we'd be able to fit that. I am also considering making the popup wider if we do that.
We can choose whether or not to show the extra user information. With the visual representation of highlighting everything that the user has written I don't think its necessary.

I think a better solution might be to rename "Editing their own talk page" to "Their own talk page" and move it under "Editing". That way it is clear that it needs to be enabled.

I am hoping that we can use the same blue bar to show different states of the tool. Ottawahitech had suggested that we don't cover the View History and Edit tabs, and I think that makes sense. We should however make it sticky so that its visible even when the user has scrolled down.
Thanks @Mooeypoo! Quick question, is it possible to have markup inside OOUI popups like headings and stuff, as is the case with GuidedTours?
If not, I recommend the most simple popup possible, to reduce effort here.
@Mooeypoo I wanted to confirm that this wont be the actual GuidedTour since the code is outside of MediaWiki. Will we be able to style it however we like?
Jul 1 2019
No, it is resolved now. Sorry, I forgot to close it.

@Niharika Do we want to support mobile screen sizes for the translation page too?
Lets add a label on top of the dropdowns ( "from:" and "to:")
How about we scroll the page down (enough to hide the header) as soon as an input gets focus?

Could we please get tracking snippet that we can include in the page, thanks!

I added in a tiny feature where you can hover over the abbreviated numbers to get the full number, e.g. "42,123" when hovering over "42k".

I am hoping we don't use this for too long.

@srishakatux Please what is the state of this project? Can this be sent to GSoC '19?
Making the Items per page dropdown narrower and adding a new Type dropdown there makes sense. It's good that it doesn't increase the size of the filter section either.

If we share these on-wiki but then go with a solution like a browser extension, is that going to be a confusing shift?
Feb 15 2019
Looks pretty good! @Prtksxna You have any design changes you'd like to see here? See https://tools.wmflabs.org/svgtranslate-test/File:Speech_bubbles.svg

These are the mocks that I've been working on:

Oops, had forgotten to push the code. The prototype should be updated now.
The current UI element on multiple special pages (Block, Recent Changes) is not a button…
Sounds good to me!

Only thing that strikes me is that the "(learn more)" after editing might be overkill now, with all the inline help messages?
This is what I had in mind, smaller help texts that can fit in just one line and links out to documentation wherever needed. Would something like this work?
We can use the feedback icon from the interactions pack in OOUI:

Would 15 February be alright? Let me know if you'll need it sooner 🙂

@jmatazzoni Just a note... we're already showing "files uploaded" and "file usage" in the interface now, so we will need to continue to do that after this is implemented. But, it's kinda weird to show "Files uploaded: 0" when your event is only for say, en.wikipedia, and you don't care about files at all. So I'm thinking, if Commons is not included as part of the event, we will only show Files Uploaded/Usage if at least one file was uploaded. That sound okay?
Jan 11 2019
That work is now being tracked under JSDoc WMF theme.
Jan 10 2019
Exactly. Unless this checkbox is causing major issues and needs to be re-considered I say we keep it and move on.
Jan 9 2019
@Tchanders from your previous comment I understand that its going to be tricky to add help text (tooltip, or inline) on the radio options. I wanted to ask if its going to be possible at all, or should we be thinking of other solutions?
- The existing labels haven't been changed to the labels shown in the design (e.g. "Prevent account creation" etc), because I can imagine there being some opposition to changing them.
Jan 7 2019
@Prtksxna We do need another design for this ticket in the event that a user directly lands on the translation page for an image using a link and the image does not have any labels for translation. In that case, we should show them the image and a message.

I've been thinking about this and its a bit tricky. A solid gray border looks odd on images that already have a border
@Prtksxna I think the number of images already having a border is really low.
