Just a silly idea: Whats about adding both use-cases to the function by defining a hover-timeout:

• First ~300ms: Klicking would add (using personal settings) oder removing an entry to watchlist directly, wihout any dialogue.
• After this time: New menue opens by hover in both cases.

Don't know anything from the code behind, so i can't see if this would be possible.

Ok that’s a good point, it always felt a bit annoying that I had to unwatch a page and then click watch again when I wanted to change expiry.

I consider this change one of the worst I've ever seen. I add a lot of the articles I'm working on to my watchlist, at least temporarily. Later, I often remove the watchlist entry in the diff view as soon as I decide I no longer need to follow the content. This is all to monitor the impact of my actions.

Also tested in Android app. Works like expected using 2FA.

Nearly same Problem at Android-App: Login using username and password results in "Caught exception of type TypeError" before asking for 2FA.
