- Does your mobile device's browser not have it's own bookmark feature? Are you aware of other mobile browsers which don't provide that?
Yes but it's not shared across devices as I said. And even if that was somehow possible: it's not always just about the technical feature but also the accessibility especially to less experienced users. And besides of that there's many other potential uses that are only possible if a Wikipedia-internal bookmark-system is used (such as features for organization, sharing and sorting them).
- What Phabricator projects are relevant here?
I hoped more knowledgeable users in here might know this. It's relevant to Wikipedia with all its direct subprojects (saying: sideprojects such as WikiMedia are not necessarily included but could be included as well).
- Is this relevant to Gather?
Yes! nice finding. I'm wondering why that's intended to be just for WikiMedia. Its usefulness for Wikipedia is pretty obvious so I'm gonna ask them.
- Is this a MediaWiki extension request?
No, a Wikipedia one.
- Is this something you expect to be implemented into MediaWiki core?
No - only optionally. And sincerely I don't know which Phabricator-Projects are related here since I only know the Wikipedia sideprojects and would need an explanation for each of them to be able to correctly categorize this issue if that's expected. For what I know it's related to any backend and frontend project that is responsible for the surface & functionality of the official Wikipedia (articles) on any device.

Yes.
So this might just require someone with permissions to edit the Licenses page and add it (on-wiki), and not be a software problem at all (and invalid as a task in Phabricator as we don't handle on-wiki content here)? Could you confirm?
Seems so, yes. Really weird that it's not on there because I'd guess that's a feature that's being used heavily.
Would be nice if you could contact some guys with those rights.

- Would we be able to provide a way to preview the contents of a PSD or generate thumbnails of them? Or are these just going to be downloadable files?
I think the best way to go about this would be to automatically export an (probably .jpg) image out of the .psd file. It shouldn't be just a downloadable file but a Wikimedia image like the rest - it might also be used in articles.

This would be very useful! Had the same idea - glad to see it already being filed here. It's really inconvenient to have to watch a whole page if you just want to get notified at changes of a specific section. Eventually this would actually lead to more people watching more pages and that more efficiently. Hence it might lead to a significant improvement of Wikipedia's quality. Among many other things it would also be useful for talk pages & meta discussions fostering more & better discussion there.
-> It allows people to more efficiently watch more pages.
So I really hope for this to get solved at some point.
