It has not suddenly become urgent. For the users, it has been urgent for a decade. The earlier comments show that the users who raised this issue were ignored. Because of this bug, the users have not been able to take advantage of some advances in software. This bug is nearly a decade old. Could we please get some impetus to fix it?
